All About Getting There

  • Will I need a Passport to attend the wedding?

    Yes.

Since Mexico is not a territory of or a state in the United States, a passport will be required for entry.

  • How do I get a passport if I do not already have one?

The best way to get a passport is to go to this website to get information on how to apply.

We encourage you to apply for your passport as soon as possible and it could take around 6 weeks for the process to complete.

  • I have a passport do I need to do anything else?

Make sure that your passport doesn’t expire before March 2024. Some countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months from your date of departure.

If it expires before March 2024, we encourage you to apply for your passport renewal.

  • What are the recommended travel dates?

The wedding is on Monday the 11th of September. As such, we’d advise travel dates of at least September 9th – September 12th

In order to take advantage of the negotiated group rates, a minimum 3-night stay is required. Other rates may apply if you must stay less than 3 nights.

  • How do I find the best rate on flights?

Google Flights is an excellent resource in flight planning. You can use it to track flight prices and book your flights when the price is right.

    Sample searches by city:
    Houston
    Hartford-Boston-Newark
    Orlando
    Los Angeles
    Washington, DC

Hotel & Accomodations

  • Where should we stay for this event?

We have secured group rates at two properties in Playa Mujeres.

Dreams Golf and Resort & Spa is a family-friendly resort where those traveling with children 17 and under should stay. This is also where the wedding festivities will be held.

Secrets is the sister property to Dreams. This is an adult-only property and anyone staying there must be 18 or older.

  • If I stay at Dreams can I visit Secrets and vice versa?

Yes! Any guests over the age of 18 years old can make use of the amenities at both Dreams and Secrets.

Guests under the age of 18 are allowed only on the Dreams property.

  • Are there childcare services available?

We got you! Yes, there are childcare services provided by Dreams. There are kid-friendly restaurants, water park experiences and a kid’s club as well.

We wanted to select a location that the entire family could enjoy.

  • What is actually included with our stay?

This All-Inclusive is exactly what it means. While you are on the property all of your food and beverages are included.

This means any meals in all 14 restaurants and included room service, drinks (alcoholic and otherwise), as well as non-motorized excursions are included.

Once you arrive on the property, you really shouldn’t need to pay for anything unless you want to go on an external excursion like ATV riding, jet skiing, scuba diving, etc.

  • Do I need to pay for the room in full at booking?

If you work with our travel agency, Paradise Weddings, you will be able to pay for your room over time with the final payment being due approximately 75 days before travel.

They can go over all of the timelines for you.
